The School of Continuing Education is one of the earliest schools of higher learning in Tianjin to host adult higher education, higher education self-study exams, and community education. It is an education organization that specializes in optimizing education background, updating professional knowledge and improving service skills for people from all walks of life. It is also an important base to implement life-long education.
In the past several decades, the school has always adhered to the principle of serving the society, taking social demands as its target of education, insisting on giving priority to improvement of the teaching quality as the lifeline of career development, and is committed to cultivating high-level applied talents with innovative spirit and practical ability. The school has 25 full-time and part-time teachers, including one professor, 13 associate professors and 12 full-time staff.
1. Adult higher education with certificate: The school has four undergraduate majors
approved by the Ministry of Education, three junior college majors, and there are
1,435 undergraduate and junior college students in adult higher education.
2. Self-study exam for higher education: The school signed cooperation agreements with
10 higher vocational colleges of Tianjin; 12 undergraduate majors were offered, and more
than 2,200 students were enrolled in self-study exams.
3. Community education and various special trainings: The schoolhas offered more than
50 training courses, and enrolled more than 2,200 people throughout the year; cooperated
with Guangzhou Zhongbo Education to set up high-end training courses of ACCA Program.
The school has an independent campus with complete teaching facilities. While exerting the geographical advantage of the Heping Campus, the school relies on the education resources of TGU, a group of full-time and part-time teachers with good quality and reasonable structure in age and education background, and a management team with strong sense of responsibility and rich management experience. It provides a strong intellectual support and management guarantee for the development of all kinds of students.
